Vesatolimod (GS-9620) is a potent and selective orally active small molecule agonist of Toll-like receptor 7 (TLR7) with EC50 of 291 nM.
GS-9620 displays a lower minimum effective concentration for IFN-α, chemokines CXCL10 (IP-10), CCL7 (MCP-3), and CCL4 (MIP-1β), IL-1 Receptor Antagonist (IL-1RA), and IFN-γ in comparison to proinflammatory cytokines.
GS-9620 induces durable antiviral efficacy in woodchucks chronically infected with woodchuck hepatitis virus (WHV).
GS-9620 induces HIV in peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMCs) from HIV-infected individuals on suppressive antiretroviral therapy.
