GPR120 agonist 1 is a potent, fully selective, orally available GPR120 (FFA4) agonist with pEC50 of 7.62.
GPR120 shows with negligible activity towards GPR40.
GPR120 recruits β-arrestin-2 in both human and mouse Gpr120 expressing cells with EC50 of ~0.35 uM, produces concentration dependent increases in IP3 production.
GPR120 exerts potent anti-inflammatory effects on macrophages in vitro and in obese mice in vivo, causes improved glucose tolerance, decreased hyperinsulinemia, increased insulin sensitivity and decreased hepatic steatosis.
