GCN2iA is a potent seletive inhibitor of general control nonderepressible 2 (GCN2) with IC50 of 4.0 nM.
GCN2iA suppresses the phosphorylation of GCN2 and eIF2α as well as ATF4 expression in U2OS cells.
GCN2iA sensitizes ASNS-low cancer cells to asparaginase by disrupting the amino acid response.
GCN2iA is not suitable for in vivo use because of its poor pharmacokinetic profile
