Finafloxacin is a fluoroquinolone antibiotic that demonstrates superior activity to ciprofloxacin under acidic conditions (pH5.8, A. baumannii isolates MIC=0.03-0.12ug/mL).
Finafloxacin shows comparable activity to ciprofloxacin at pH 7.2.
Finafloxacin is a promising new antimicrobial agent for the treatment of A. baumannii infections at acidic body compartments.
