FKB04 is a selective telomere repeat binding factor 2 (TRF2) inhibitor, inhibits TRF2 expression in liver cancer cells.
FKB04 demonstrates superior antiproliferative activity specifically against Huh-7 and HepG2 cells, FKB04 (1 uM) inhibits proliferations and migration on liver cancer cells.
FKB04 disrupts the telomere maintenance mechanism in liver cancer cells, causing T-loop deficiency, does not cause substantial telomeric DNA damage.
FKB04 binds to TRF2 in cancer cells and reduces telomeric TRF2 abundance, leading to shortened telomere length and dysfunction.
FKB04 (4.0 mg/kg) inhibits the growth of Huh-7 xenograft tumors in mice by promoting TRF2 function deficiency.
