FECH inhibitor 4e (FECH-IN-4e) is a potent, specifc, competitive inhibitor of ferrochelatase (FECH) with IC50 in the high-nanomolar range.
FECH inhibitor 4e inhibited HREC migration in a dose-dependent manner, without cytotoxic effects.
FECH inhibitor 4e caused statistically significant PPIX accumulation, showed HREC antiproliferative activity.
Intravitreal injections of FECH inhibitor 4e decreased neovascularization in vivo.
