Enexasogaol (6-Shogaol) is a pungent agent isolated from Zingiber officinale Roscoe, has been known to have anti-tumor and anti-inflammatory effects.
Enexasogaol attenuates LPS-induced inflammation in BV2 microglia cells by activating PPAR-γ.
Enexasogaol inhibits TNF-alpha mediated downregulation of adiponectin expression via different mechanisms in 3T3-L1 adipocytes.
Enexasogaol also induces apoptotic cell death of human hepatoma p53 mutant Mahlavu subline via an oxidative stress-mediated caspase-dependent mechanism.
