Elvitegravir (JTK-303, GS-9137) is a potent, selective HIV-1 non-nucleoside reverse transcriptase inhibitor (NNRTI) with IC50 of 7.2 nM in 7.2 nM in the strand transfer assay and EC50 of 0.9 nM in acute HIV-1 infection assay.
Elvitegravir blocks strand transfer by viral integrase enzyme.
Elvitegravir inhibits HIV-1IIIB, HIV-2EHO and HIV-2ROD with IC50 of 0.7 nM, 2.8 nM and 1.4 nM, respectively.
