ER-38925 is a potent, selective retinoic acid receptor subtype α (RAR-α) agonist, inhibits proliferation of mouse spleen cells with IC50 of 0.2 nM.
ER-38925 binds to RARα and induces transactivation with high potency.
ER-38925 remarkably inhibits cytotoxic T lymphocyte induction and alloantigen‐stimulated production of cytokines, i.e. IL‐2, IL‐12 and IFN‐γ.
ER‐38925 reduces the grade and incidence of arteriosclerosis in the cardiac allografts in chronic rejection models.
ER‐38925 inhibits the proliferation of rat aortic smooth muscle cells stimulated in vitro, presumably through the induction of a cyclin‐dependent kinase inhibitor, p27kip‐1.
