EGX358 (ISP358-2) is a potent, highly selective estrogen receptor-beta (ERβ) agonist with EC50 of 27 nM, 750-fold selectivity for ERβ over ERα.
EGX358 (ISP358-2) shows no antagonist activity for ERβ or ERα at concentrations up to 10 μM.
EGX358 (ISP358-2) shows in vivo efficacy after microinfusion into the dorsal hippocampus and after intraperitoneal injection (0.5 mg/kg) or oral gavage (0.5 mg/kg).
