Diclofensine (Ro 8-4650) is an antidepressant that acts as a triple monoamine reuptake inhibitor.
Diclofensine blocks the uptake of dopamine, noradrenaline, and serotonin by rat brain synaptosomes with IC50 of 0.74, 2.3, and 3.7 nM, respectively.
Diclofensine increases locomotor activity, decreases food intake, and has abuse potential.
