DASA-58 is a potent activator of PKM2 (pyruvate kinase M2) with AC50 of 38 nM; shows no activity on PKM1 in vitro.
DASA-58 binds to PKM2 at the subunit interaction interface site that is distinct from that of the endogenous activator FBP.
DASA-58 inhibits LPS-induced HIF-1α and IL-1β, as well as the expression of a range of other HIF-1α-dependent genes.
