D-Fagomine (Fagomine) is a a mild glycosidase inhibitor, inhibits Amyloglucosidase (A.niger), β-Glucosidase (bovine), and Isomaltase (yeast) with Ki of 4.8 uM, 39 uM, and 70 uM, respectively.
D-Fagomine counteracts the short-term effects of a high-energy-dense diet on body weight, fasting blood glucose levels and the proportion of gut Enterobacteriales, reduces the amount of Enterobacteriales excreted by rats fed HFHS.
