Chalcone 4 hydrate is a potent, selective inhibitor of CXCL12 binding to CXCR4 and CXCR7 with IC50 of 200 nM.
Chalcone 4 hydrate shows no activities for CCL5 and CXCL8 chemokines; inhibits calcium responses mediated by CXCR4 and prevents CXCR4 internalization.
Chalcone 4 hydrate blocks chemotaxis of human peripheral blood lymphocytes ex vivo, shows activity in vivo in mouse model of allergic eosinophilic airway inflammation.
