Cangrelor tetrasodium (AR-C69931MX) is a potent, selective P2T/P2Y12 receptor antagonist with IC50 of 0.4 nM against ADP-induced aggregation of human platelets.
Cangrelor displays >1,000-fold selectivity over other P2 receptor family.
Cangrelor antagonizes the ex vivo and in vivo aggregatory actions of ADP, and displays a rapid onset and offset of action with the ability to prevent occlusive arterial thrombus formation.
