AT-001 (Caficrestat) is a highly potent, selective inhibitor of aldose reductase enzymatic activity with IC50 of 28.9 pM.

AT-001 (Caficrestat) decreases biomarkers of myocardial stress and is currently being studied in a Phase 3 global registrational study in patients with diabetic cardiomyopathy (ARISE-HF).

AT-001 (Caficrestat) reduces viral inflammation and risk of adverse outcomes in diabetic patients with COVID-19.
