CVT-6694 (CVT6694) is a highly potent, selective A2B adenosine receptor antagonist with Ki of 7 nM (hA2B), >700-fold selective over human A1, A2A and A3 receptors.
CVT-6694 blocks the release of interleukin-6 and monocyte chemotactic protein-1 from bronchial smooth muscle cells (BSMC).
CVT-6694 inhibits the release of IL-6 and the differentiation of fibroblasts into myofibroblasts in human lung fibroblasts (HLFs).
