CH24H inhibitor 17 is a potent, highly selective, BBB permeable inhibitor of Cholesterol 24-hydroxylase (CH24H/CYP46A1) with IC50 of 8.5 nM.
CH24H inhibitor 17 shows excellent selectivity for CYP3A4 as well as CYP2C8, CYP2C9, and CYP2D6 (IC50>10 uM).
CH24H inhibitor 17 reduces 24S-hydroxycholesterol levels in the mouse brain when oral administration treatment with 17 at 30 mg/kg for 3 days.
