CFM-2 is a selective, non-competitive AMPA receptor antagonist; significantly protectes against seizures induced by pentylentetrazole or picrotoxin in epilepsy-prone rats and in pentylenetetrazole kindled rat.
CFM-2 antagonizes the long-term increase in sensitivity of the convulsant effects of GABA function inhibitors in pentylentetrazole-kindled animals.
