CCF0058981 (CCF981) is a potent, selective, noncovalent inhibitor of the SARS-CoV-1/SARS-CoV-2 3CL protease (3CLpro) with IC50 of 19 and 68 nM, respectively.
CCF0058981 (CCF981) demonstrated antiviral efficacy against infectious SARS-CoV-2 virus in Vero E6 cells with EC50 of 0.497 and 0.558 uM in CPE inhibition assay and plaque reduction assay, respectively, with CC50>50 uM, which is comparable in potency to remdesivir.
