C-DIM5 (DIM-C-pPhOCH3) is an orally active diindolylmethane (C-DIM) compound that displays anti-inflammatory and neuroprotective efficacy in vitro and in vivo, also is an agonist of the orphan nuclear receptor Nur77.
C-DIM5 protects against MPTP neurotoxicity and suppresses glial activation in mouse model of Parkinson's disease.
C-DIM5 decreases cell survival and induces cell death pathways, including TRAIL and PARP cleavage, inhibits tumor growth in vivo in mice bearing Panc-28 cell xenografts.
