    BW-031 iodide is a potent cationic sodium channel inhibitor, inhibits Nav 1.7 (IC50=9.5 uM) and Nav 1.1 channels with approximately sixfold greater potency than QX-314.
    BW-031 inhibited inflammatory pain in guinea pig model of citric acid-induced cough.
    BW-031 produced more effective and longer-lasting inhibition of pain than QX-314 in the mouse UV burn model.
