BRD0418 is a specific small molecule that upregulate TRIB1 expression and phenocopy the effects of TRIB1 cDNA overexpression (EC50=1 uM, TRIB1 overexpression in HepG2 cells).
BRD0418 modulates expression of the key genes involved in cholesterol and triglyceride biosynthesis (LDLR and TRIB1, PCSK9), VLDL production and in LDL uptake in HepG2 cells.
BRD0418 stimulate uptake of LDL in HepG2 cells, leads to reprogramming of hepatic lipoprotein metabolism from lipogenesis to scavenging.
