BI-9787 is a potent, selective zwitterionic ketohexokinase (KHK) inhibitor with enzymatic IC50 of 12/12.8 nM (hKHK-A/C), and cellular IC50 of 123 nM in F1P HepG2 assay.
BI-9787 potently inhibits mKHK-C and rKHK-C with IC50 of 20 and 3.0 nM respectively.
BI-9787 shows >100-fold selectivity for 44 unrelated targets except PDE4D2.
BI-9787 is a high-quality in vitro and in vivo tool compound for investigating the role of fructose metabolism in disease.
