BI-9627 is a potent, selective inhibitor of sodium-hydrogen exchanger isoform 1 (NHE1) with pHi change IC50 of 6 nM, displays >30-fold selectivity against NHE2 and with no measurable inhibitory activity against the NHE3 isoform.
BI-9627 also shows high potency in the platelet swelling assay with IC50 of 31 nM.
BI-9627 demonstrates IC50 >30 μM across all CYP isoforms tested; exhibits profound efficacy, prevents or attenuates ischemia-reperfusion injury in the Langendorff isolated perfused rat heart model.
