BDM71230 is a potent, small molecule Insulin-Degrading Enzyme (IDE) activator with EC50 of 1.9 uM in glucose stimulated insulin secretion (GSIS) by pancreatic β-cells assay, 4.1-fold activation at 100 uM.
BDM71230 decreases glucose-stimulating insulin secretion in β-cells.
BDM71230 (50 mg/kg, i.p.) decreases insulin secretion significantly for medium and high glucose stimulation in mice for oral glucose tolerance test (OGTT).
