BAY-4931 (BAY4931) is a potent, selective, covalent PPARγ inverse agonist with IC50 of 0.17 nM in cellular reporter assays.
BAY-4931 displays no signigicant acitivity against PPARA, PPARD and additional high homology PXR (IC50 values >50 uM).
BAY-4931 inhibits proliferation of PPARG-amplified cell line UM-UC-9 with IC50 of 3.4 nM.
BAY-4931 showed antiproliferative effects across UM-UC-9, HuP-T4, and PaCaDD-188 sensitive cell lines in the colony formation assays.
