BAK4-54 is a high affinity dopamine D3 receptor (D3R) antagonist/partial agonist withIC50 of 8.0 nM as full D3R antagonist, EC50 of 140 nM as partial D3R agonist.
BAK4-54 (0.4-10 mg/kg, i.p.) dose-dependently decreased oxycodone self-administration, and shifted the oxycodone dose-response curve downward in rats.
BAK4-54 facilitated extinction and inhibited oxycodone-induced reinstatement of drug-seeking behavior.
BAK4-54 also dose-dependently decreased oxycodone-enhanced locomotor activity.
