Amelubant (BIIL 284) is a potent, long-acting, orally active leukotriene B4 (LTB4) receptor antagonist with Ki values of 221 nM and 230 nM in vital cells and membranes.
Amelubant (BIIL 284) inhibits LTB4-induced mouse ear inflammation with ED50 of 0.008 mg/kg (p.o.).
Amelubant (BIIL 284) inhibits LTB(4)-induced transdermal chemotaxis in guinea pigs with ED50 of 0.03 mg/kg p.o.
