ASB17061 (ASB-17061) is an orally active, selective chymase inhibitor with IC50 of 0.03 uM and 0.02 uM for mMCP-4 and human chymase, respecitvely.
ASB17061 display little to no acitivites against bovine α-chymotrypsin, human cathepsin G, bovine trypsin and human elastase (all IC50> 1 uM).
ASB17061 significantly suppressed angiotensin II-induced abdominal aortic aneurysm (AAA) formation in apolipoprotein E-deficient mice at 10 mg/kg/
ASB17061 inhibited the accumulation of pro-MMP-9-producing cells in AAA lesions.
