AR-C118925XX is a potent, selective, competitive P2Y2 receptor antagonist with pA2 values of 37.2 nM and 51.3 nM in calcium and β-arrestin assays, respectively.
AR-C118925XX inhibits UTP-induced receptor activation with an IC50 value of 37.1 nM at the human P2Y4 receptor, at least 500-fold selective for the P2Y2 over the P2Y4 receptor.
AR-C118925XX is at least 50-fold selective for the P2Y2 receptor over any other mammalian P2Y receptor subtype.
AR-C118925XX is a useful pharmacological tool for in vitro as well as in vivo studies of P2Y2 receptors.
