APX2009 (APX-2009) is a novel potent inhibitor of reduction-oxidation factor 1-apurinic/apyrimidinic endonuclease 1 (Ref-1/APE1) with IC50 of 0.45 uM for redox EMSA inhibition.
APX2009 inhibits endothelial cell proliferation in HRECs and Rf/6a cells in vitro with GI50 of 1.1 and 26 uM, respectively.
APX2009 significantly inhibits endothelial tube formation in HRECs and Rf/6a cells in vitro, inhibits TNF-α mediated NF-κB signaling and proangiogenic target gene mRNA expression.
APX2009 inhibits choroidal sprouting at low micromolar in ex vivo, blocks ocular angiogenesis in vitro and ex vivo.
