APD597 (JNJ-38431055) is a potent, selective GPR119 agonist with EC50 of 46 nM and 421 nM for human and rat GPR119, respectively.
APD597 showed no significant activity in a standard CEREP receptor selectivity panel at 1 uM.
APD597 (3-30 mg/kg PO) improved glucose handling and markedly reduced the AUCglu in an oGTT in male C57bl/6j mice.
