APC655 is a potent activator of protein folding and unfolded protein response (UPR) modulator, APC655 activates ATF6 pathway and chaperone expression.
APC655 enhances ER protein folding capacity through the activation of the ATF6 pathway and chaperones expression, during stress.
APC655 protect β cells from chemically induced ER-stress dependent cell death.
APC655 improves β cell viability and function from cytokine induced ER-stress in primary islets.
APC655 decreased body weight, lowered fast blood glucose and improved liver steatosis in the ob/ob mice.
