AMTB hydrochloride is a selective TRPM8 channel blocker with pEC50 of 6.91 in Ca(2+) influx assay, with no activity for TRPV4 (pEC50<4.6).
AMTB hydrochloride inhibits icilin-activated Ca2 influx in HEK293 cells with pIC50 of 6.23, decreases the frequency of volume-induced bladder contractions, without reducing the amplitude of contraction in anesthetized rats.
AMTB hydrochloride also reduces proliferation rates and proliferative fraction in prostate cancer cells, but not of non-tumor prostate cells.
