AMN 082 (AMN082) is a potent, selective mGluR7 allosteric agonist, inhibits forskolin-stimulated cAMP accumulation in mGluR7b CHO cells with EC50 of 64 nM.
AMN 082 displays no activating or inhibitory effects at other mGluR subtypes and ionotropic GluRs.
AMN 082 potently inhibits cAMP accumulation and stimulates GTPgammaS binding with EC50 of 64-290 nM.
AMN 082 elevates the plasma stress hormones corticosterone and corticotropin in an mGluR7-dependent fashion in vivo.
