    AM9053 (AM 9053) is a potent, selective inhibitor of N-Acylethanolamine acid amidase (NAAA) with IC50 of 30 nM, with limited effect on FAAH activity (IC50>100 uM).
    AM9053 impacted CRC growth and development in vivo, altered the protein expression levels of Erb-B1, Erb-B2, Erb-B3 and AREG in tumour secretomes in treated xenograft mice.
    AM9053 inhibited tumoural cell proliferation via TRPV1 and PPAR-α, promotes cell cycle arrest in the S phase and reduces cell migration, significantly decreased the migration of HCT116 and Caco-2 cells, NAAA knock-down mirrored the effects of NAAA inhibition with AM9053.
    AM9053 increased PEA levels in the colon and prevents TNBS-induced colitis, also decreased the expression of proinflammatory cytokines (IL-1β, IL-12, and TNF-α) in the colon.
