ALD1A3 inhibitor CB29 binds competitively to the aldehyde binding site.
ALD1A3 inhibitor CB29 exhibits good selectivity toward ALDH3A1, demonstrates no inhibition (<5%) toward ALDH1A1, ALDH1A2, ALDH1A3, ALDH1B1 or ALDH2 up to 250 μM.
ALD1A3 inhibitor CB29 can inhibit the activity of ALDH3A1 in tumor whole cell lysates.
ALD1A3 inhibitor CB29 is a chemical tool to delineate the role of ALDH3A1 in numerous metabolic pathway.
