AG1478 (Tyrphostin AG-1478) is a potent, selective EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor with IC50 of 3 nM.
AG1478 inhibits cell growth, DNA synthesis, EGFR tyrosine kinase activity, and receptor autophosphorylation of U87MG cell populations which over-expressed either wt (U87MG.wtEGFR) or truncated EGFR (U87MG. delta EGFR).
AG1478 preferentially inhibits glioblastoma cells with truncated EGFR compared with those with wild-type EGFR.
