AFN-1252 (API-1252, Debio 1452) is a potent inhibitor of bacterial enoyl-ACP reductase FabI.
AFN-1252 demonstrates MICs of 0.015 and 0.008 ug/ml for S. aureus ATCC 29213 and S. aureus ATCC 33592 (MRSA), respectively.
AFN-1252 demonstrates a Staphylococcus-specific spectrum of activity.
