ADM 12 (ADM_12, ADM12) is a second lipoic-containing, selective TRPA1 antagonist with IC50 of 7.3 uM for the inhibition of 30 uM menthol-induced currents in cell assay.
ADM 12 displays little to no activity for TRPM8 and TRPV4.
ADM 12 significantly and persistently reduces mechanical facial allodynia in rats, has potential for treatment of orofacial pain.
ADM 12 also reverts oxaliplatin-induced neuropathy and reduces pancreatic cancer cells malignancy by inhibiting carbonic anhydrase IX (CA IX) with Ki of 650 nM, reduces CA IX-mediated acidosis.
