MitoBloCK 6 is a small molecule mitochondrial protein import blocker that inhibits Erv1 oxidase activity.
MitoBloCK 6 attenuates the import of Erv1 substrates into yeast mitochondria and inhibited oxidation of Tim13 and Cmc1 in in vitro reconstitution assays.
MitoBloCK 6 impairs the cardiac development in zebrafish embryos, induces apoptosis via cytochrome c release in human embryonic stem cells (hESCs) but not in differentiated cells
