CRM1 inhibitor S109 is a specific, reversible inhibitor of CRM1 (exportin 1, XPO1), inhibits cell viability with IC50 of 1.2 uM and 0.97 μM in HCT-15 and HT-29 cells, can induce CRM1 protein degradation.
S109 significantly inhibits colorectal cells proliferation and invasion and concomitantly induces cell cycle arrest.
S109 inhibits CRM1 function and induces nuclear retention of tumor suppress proteins.
S109 decreases CRM1 protein expression via proteasomal-mediated degradation.
S109 significantly prolonged the survival in mouse models of malignant glioma.
